Promoting active citizenship
Promociti
The main aim of the PROMOCITI project is to promote civic engagement and participation in adult education. We want to inspire educational institutions and their pedagogical stuff to integrate active citizenship into their portfolio and educational programs by offering a Train-the-Trainer (TTT) course.
The curriculum for the TTT course was developed to gain competence in how to initiate and promote processes and/or activities in the field of civic participation. A special focus is on the methodology of designing and facilitating hybrid workshops and digital storytelling. You can find the curriculum here HERE
In addition, a report was compiled in which managers and pedagogical staff from 25 educational institutions in different countries answered questions about their understanding of the concept of active citizenship and the work of their institution in this area. You can download the report HERE
Active citizenship in the digital space ("digital active citizenship") is also an important component of participation today. What does it actually mean? What can it look like? What are the opportunities and challenges? And what role do educational establishments play in this? You can read more about it HERE
