Renewable Energy Communities

Switching to renewable energy is an important step towards a climate-friendly future. SPES Zukunftsakademie supports and assists municipalities and regions in setting up energy communities.

Energy communities proactively support the energy transition and thus environmental protection. Renewable energy communities ensure that energy from renewable sources is generated locally and can be consumed in the immediate vicinity. This avoids long transmission routes for conventionally generated energy and reduces the carbon footprint of the members, the region and the country as a whole. It also creates a new awareness of where the electricity comes from and how it is produced. Members can also achieve economic benefits by selling or purchasing the self-generated energy within the community.

The SPES Zukunftsakademie is currently supporting the development of renewable energy communities on behalf of the Sterngartl-Gusental LEADER region in collaboration with experts. We would also be happy to accompany your municipality or region on the path to a climate-friendly energy future!
